It has only one line and ten super clean stations. The buildings of the stations are also interesting sites, representing the soviet area architectural boost. Furthermore, the taxis in Yerevan run at very reasonable prices. To illustrate: it costs approximately 2 euros for a drive of 6 km. There are also very reliable GG and Yandex taxi services, which estimate the cost of the ride in advance through their apps.
Eating out in Yerevan is a real pleasure. The city boasts an abundance of different restaurants and cafés, which offer authentic local and international cuisines. During warm seasons most of the restaurants and cafés offer matchlessly pleasant chance to enjoy the meals outside and to watch the city go by. Occasional walk-ins are always welcome, but to ensure a seat, it’s better to make a reservation.

Yerevan has variety of museums and art galleries to enjoy during the getaway. From history museums to fascinating exhibits of classic and contemporary art, from illuminated manuscripts to micro miniatures, there is one to suit every interest. Besides the permanent collections, the museums often host temporary exhibitions, offering the best chances to follow the vibrant cultural life of the city. Yerevan has many shopping malls, where mostly the name-brand storefronts, alongside with local brands are located. However, if you look for souvenirs, artisanal jewelry, arts and crafts, then Vernissage is the go-to place. It is an outdoor shopping market, located in the very center of the city and is open at weekends.
Yerevan has repeatedly been ranked among the safest cities in the world. It has a very low index of crime. Day or night, it’s always quite safe to walk in the city center or neighbourhoods, though a bit of vigilance is always recommended, as everywhere else.
