Mount Azhdahak

Mount Azhdahak is a prominent peak in the Geghama Mountains of Armenia, known for its rugged beauty and rich geological history. Rising to an elevation of 3,597 meters (11,801 feet), Azhdahak is the highest point in the Geghama Range and one of the tallest mountains in Armenia. It is lsituated in the Gegharkunik Province, near the shores of Lake Sevan, the largest lake in Armenia.

In Armenian folklore, Azhdahak is often referred to as the dwelling place of the mythical dragon-like creature, Azhdahak or Azhdaha. According to legend, this creature was vanquished by the hero Vahagn, a central figure in Armenian mythology.
