Start your trip with a visit to Khor Virap Monastery, which is one of the most important pilgrimage sights in Armenia. Meanwhile, take the chance to admire and take photos of the Biblical Mount Ararat at a very close range.
Continue the trip towards the east and stop at Charents Arch, from where one more spectacular panorama opens to the Mount Ararat. The Arch was placed in memory of the Armenian poet Yeghishe Charents, who often used to come to this very place to listen to the silence and derive his inspiration gazing at the horizon.
The trip, then, continues to Garni temple to rewind 2000 years and to explore the unique preserved pagan temple in Armenia, built in the 1st century AD.
Complete the trip with a visit to Geghard Monastery, which is truly a gem of Armenian architecture. The monastic complex is partially carved into cliffs and leaves an awe-inspiring impression.
